Large Reservation Policies

Thank you for your interest in dining at The Overlook Grill by Harrison’s! Larger parties are a bit harder to manage (for both you and us!), so we do have some policies in place for parties of 7 or more to ensure smooth service for all guests.

These policies include late-cancellation and “no show” policies (and associated fees), so please do read them to know what is expected. We do not want to charge you any fees, but we will be following these policies.

Receipt of a valid credit card number will hold the space for your reservation and act as confirmation that you will read, understand, and accept the following policies. If you have any questions about this information, please contact us!


  • Please contact us no later than 72 hours prior to your reservation with your final guest count. This is so we can ensure proper staffing and have time to re-book space that your group will not need.

  • If you do not notify us of any changes to time or guest count, we look forward to seeing you at your scheduled reservation time and date, with the guest count given when the reservation was originally booked (or the last update provided).

  • If, upon arrival, your group’s guest count differs from the final guest count provided, then…

    • If the group number has grown, we will add chairs to the table and accommodate your extra guests the best we can! Please understand that seating may be a little tight, though.

    • If your group number is smaller, there will be a fee of $10 for each unneeded seat that was reserved (i.e., the number of people confirmed for the party minus the number that shows up). The fee will be charged to the credit card on file.



If your plans change and you no longer need your reservation, please cancel at least 72 hours prior to your reservation to avoid any late-cancellation/no show fees.

  • Late-Cancellation Fees:

    • Cancellation at least 72 hours prior: No fee!

    • Cancellation less than 72 hours prior: $10 per reserved seat

      • This fee will be waived if we are able to rebook this space, and we will make our best effort to do so, but please understand that we have turned other parties away at this point. The fee will be charged to the credit card on file.

  • No Show Fees:

    • $20 per reserved seat will be charged to the credit card on file if your group fails to show up for their reservation without giving us the prior notice that is clarified above.

Please note:  We do not want to charge you any fees for late cancellations or no shows; these fees reflect the revenue loss incurred by not having sufficient time to rebook space being held just for your group.



    • Please arrive on time for your reservation to ensure smoother service for your group as well as all other restaurant guests.

    • We will not seat your group until your entire party has arrived.

    • We can hold your table for 15 minutes past your reservation time. After that, we may need to seat another party at your table, but we will do our best to accommodate your group once they all arrive.

    • If you are running late, please call and let us know! This will allow us re-adjust the best as possible to accommodate all of our guests that evening.

    • We allot enough time for your group to enjoy their meal. Please be mindful of time, though, as we may have additional reservations booked at the same table following your group’s reservation.



Weather happens, especially in the winter on top of a mountain! Because of this, we have some specific weather-related policies:

  • If you are planning to join us, please be aware of any potential weather conditions in the forecast that would lengthen travel time, and plan accordingly.

  • If you have any question about road or weather conditions on the mountain, please call us and ask. The weather can be very different here than down in the valley.

  • Snow or rain conditions may or may not be reason to waive our late-cancellation policies. Although we work with weather on a case-by-case basis, here are our general guidelines:

    • If other groups are able to make their reservations, then we do not consider weather enough reason to waive late-cancellation fees.

    • If other groups (or staff) are not able to get here, we will waive our late-cancellation fees.

    • If your group simply fails to show up without notice, we consider this a “no show” and will charge the “no show” fees of $20 per reserved seat.


Parties of 7 or more are subject to an automatic 18% gratuity added to their bill.



Can I bring a cake or my own dessert?

The Overlook Grill does have dessert offerings; however, we allow tables to bring in special celebration cakes/desserts if desired. In these cases, there is a cake service fee of $2/person. We charge this because of the time, service ware, and additional clean up that is required. This fee cannot be waived.

Will we all be seated at one table?

When possible, we try to seat everyone at the same table; however, we cannot guarantee this, especially for groups larger than 12. Please let us know in advance if you have any concerns about this or requests regarding seating.

Can I bring in decorations?

Yes, we do allow small table-top decorations if they do not disrupt the other guests or cause a safety concern.

Can I come early to take photos?

Yes! You are more than welcome to arrive early and take advantage of our deck area to take photos, but we politely ask that you allot time for this prior to your reservation time to ensure the best service for your group and all other guests.

Can we bring our own wine?

Yes, in most cases. However, there is a corkage fee associated with bringing your own wine. We kindly ask that you do not bring any wines already listed on our menu. There may be particular dates when we do not allow any outside wine to be brought in.

   Corkage Fees:

  • $6 if your table also orders a bottle of wine or cocktails from our bar.

  • $12 if that is the only alcohol your table will be enjoying.
